Collaboration Rocks!
My Grandmother, Alice Fleming of Ballylanders, Limerick, Ireland, was the youngest of twelve children. Ten of those children immigrated to the United States. One of those returned to Ireland to seek his fortune. Currently I am part of a group of Fleming descendants who are working together via e-mail to pool the information we have gathered. There are ten of us representing three Flemings, not too bad since one of the Flemings became a priest and one a nun. Wouldn't it be great if we could find representatives of the other siblings? Those participating in the group effort are located in FL, MI, WI, IL, CA, and WA. We have also made contact with the descendants of one of Alice's uncles who immigrated to Australia and the descendants of a sister of Alice who remained in Ireland. How difficult this would have been before the internet.
